2.55+ Patch

(Latest 2.60b(2.55+) Enemy Territory server patch with 2.55 client backward compatibility)

I was looking at this the other day and found it very interesting. It seems that with this version of the WolfET patch that anyone can join your server, regardless of which patch, if any, you have installed on your server. So I was wondering if any of you guys who run servers use this patch and if so how does the game run when you have it installed? Does it cause lag? Does it cause any problems with downloads when connecting to the server, etc.?

If this patch modification works I don't see why we all don't use it on our servers. It would certainly increase the traffic of new WolfET players to our servers because most of them are still using the old 2.55 patch and never upgrade to 2.60b. Any help and advice on this subject would be appreciated.

To proof that the Splatterladder development is not fell asleep, here the latest changed applied:

Server-registration:
You`re a clan leader and want to add new server to your clan?
There are several ways to do so:
- Request it in the forum
- Set the server-response to send sl_clanid "YourClanID" ( sets sl_clanid "YourClanID" in config or via rcon )
- New: Simply visit the serverpage, click on the new link "This is your clans server? Then claim it for your clan", put in the server rcon password (which will not be stored on our server in any way!), and register it to your clan

Advanced serverinfo:
We added a few options to enhance the diplayed information for your server (you need to be leader / admin of the clan operating the server)
-Server rules: You can use the common bbcode tags to insert the rules for the server which will be displayed
-Server description: Another field where you can use to give some information about the server (bbcode enabled)
-Maptime: The current timelimit of the running map and also an approximation of the remaining time

To edit this (and a few more) data, we implemented the "server-editor" which is available for admin and leader of the assigned clan

In order to provide you with a fast and helpful support it is mandatory that you link us to your player nick/clan here at splatterladder.com.

Especially if you're asking for a clan registritation please provide us with following details:

clan tag without color codes
clan tag with color codes
link to your registered/reserved player nick or the player who should be assigned to this tag
game: W:ET, ETQW

Rules:

only one clan per user (which means: no (second) squads, no (second) funclans, no second clans, even on a second account
If you have already a clan, then you don't get another one. If you want to have a new one, then you have to rename your old clan.
from now on we will delete second clans/squads without any further notification from the sl.Team (February 2009)
the registered/reserved playername has to be used at least 5 hours (5 hours playtime!)
the playername has to contain the clantag
the clantag has to contain at least 3 letters/numbers excluding spacebar

Vor allem wenn ihr Hilfe bei der Registrierung eines neuen Clan tags benötigt, brauchen wir unbedingt folgende Details:

Regeln:

Nur ein Clan pro User (was bedeuted: keine (zweiten) Squads, keinen (zweiten) Funclan, generell kein zweiter Clan, auch nicht über einen zweiten Account!)
Wenn du bereits einen Clan hast, dann bekommst du keinen zweiten Clan. Wenn du einen neuen Clan haben willst, dann musst du den alten Clan umbenennen.
Ab sofort werden zweite Clans/Squads ohne weiteren Kommentar vom sl.Team gelöscht (Stand Februar 2009)
Der registrierte/reservierte Spielername muss bereits eine Spielzeit von mindestens 5 Stunden haben
Der Spielername muss den Clantag beinhalten

Hallo liebe Community

Hier mit möchten wir bekannt geben das wir einen kleinen Cup (Event) am wochenende dem 26.05.2012 starten wollen. Um 17 uhr.

1. Was für eine art mod wird es sein ?
Nun wir habe uns für die final version von ET-Domination entschieden (PowerBall)

2. Was ist bei diesem mod zu beachten ?
Hier geht es darum einen Ball in der Mitte der Map zu finden um ihn dann in das Tar des gegner zu befördern. Wobei zu beachten ist das ihr in der Zeit wo ihr den ball habt nicht schissen könnt da ihr den ball sonst weg schmeisst.

3. Wie ist das Punkte sytem ?
Punkte sind wie folgt reinwerfen 3 Punkte , mit reinlaufen 7 punkte (Tuchdown) .

4. Wie viele Spieler werden es sein ?
Wir haben da an ein 5 gegen 5 oder ein 6 gegen 6 gedacht .

5. Wie gewinnt mann die Map ?
Das Team mit den meisten Punkten gewinnt die Map

6. gibt es eine Rückrunde so wie im Stopwatch mod ?
Nein das wird es nicht geben wir notiren uns, welches team wie oft gewonnen hat von hand.

7. Wo kan man sich anmelden ?
Ihr könnt euch hier im post anmelden so nennt uns bitt mit wievielen leuten , ihr antreten wollt, oder ob ihr als clan antreten wollt.

8. Was ist mitzubringen ?
Ein ET key ,letzten aktuellen Punkbuster, ET version 2.60 oder 2.60b und sher viel spass am spiel !

9. Kann man auch was gewinnen ?
Ja und zwar einen Bot (keinen Aim oder Wallhack) sonderen ,ein Bot der euren namen auf Lebenszeit im server eingefügt wird.

Please post your request for a mumble server in this topic.

What we provide:

A free, 20 slot mumble server (if you need more than 20 slots, please give the reason for it)

Full administrative access (SuperUser account)

Webbased administration frontend ( Mumb1e Admin Plugin ) , including a mumble server viewer

What we want you (as admin) to do:

Provide the information that the server is sponsored by Splatterladder.com in the mumble serverinfo.

How it works:
You write down your request in this thread, we need
- A valid EMail Adress
- A desired AdminUsername

After you requested a free mumble server for your community (which kind ever, but ET or RTCW related) you`ll receive a PM with
- login data for our administrative interface
- a link to the interface

Then you have to login (please change your password directly after login [MyProfiles -> Edit] ):
Now click on "Server" and click on the "start server" flag
After starting the server, click on "User", check the box for SuperUser and click the "Edit-Pencil"
Now set a password for the server "SuperUser" account.
Which the combination of SuperUser and the password you set, you can edit the channels, userrights, registration within the mumble client.

Your server will be created with one Main channel. If you want to add more channels to your mumble server, you will need to login into mumble as SuperUser, right click onto the main channel and choose add channel, since MAP doesnt support channel creating yet.

In the past, you use to search for it and you were able to add the ip to list so that sl can scan it.

I no longer see that option.

I downloaded this map and put it in my ETmain folder and then went to test it. I hosted the game in 3 different mods, ETmain, Silent and ETpub and there was no sign of it anywhere, so test cancelled . Are you going to be hosting Helicopter Attack on the test servers at Wolffiles, Schnoog bro?

SERVER-REGISTRATIONS: W:ET Server - Hosted by clan Topic

BITTE LESEN / PLEASE READ:

DEUTSCH/GERMAN:

Es besteht die Möglichkeit, dass ihr euren Gameserver mit eurer SL-Clanpage verknüpfen könnt, somit erscheint dann auf eurer SL-Clanpage ein Link zur Seite mit euren Gameserver.
Genauso erscheint dann auch umgekehrt auf der Seite eures Servers ein Link zu eurer SL-Clanpage

Ihr könnt Eure Server nun auch selbst registrieren. Dazu einfach via RCON sets sl_clanid "" ausführen. Nach dem nächsten Scan ist der Server dann Eurem Clan zugewiesen.

Folgende Voraussetzungen muss erfüllt sein:

Der Server muss euch/dir gehören, das heißt im Servertitel muss der vollständige & richtige Clantag aufscheinen, sobald der Auftrag erledigt ist, könnt ihr den Clantag aus den Servertitel wieder austragen (wenn ihr wollt).
Wenn ihr den Clantag nicht zu euren Servertitel hinzufügen wollt, dann könnt ihr alternativ auch diese Zeile sets sl_id in eure Serverkonfiguration hinzufügen, diese Methode wäre allerdings komplizierter als die erste Methode, deshalb würden wir die erste Methode (Clantag im Servertitel) empfehlen.

Schreibe in deinen Post dann auch dazu welche methode der authentifizierung du verwendet hast.
Der neue Server muss online sein

Folgende Informationen brauchen wir dazu von euch:

ENGLISH:

It's possible to assign your Gameserver to your Clan.
If you use this feature, then a link to your gameserver will appear on your SL-Clanpage, also there will appear a Link on your SL-Serverpage which links to your SL-Clanpage

You can calso register your server by yourself. By sending the rcon command sets sl_clanid "" the server will be assigned to your clan when scanned the next time.

The following Requirements are necessary:

The gameserver has to be your server, which means you have to put the complete/exact & correct clantag into your server's title. You can later remove the clantag from your servertitle, when the job is done.
If you don't want the clantag in your server's title, then you can also add alternatively the line sets sl_id to you serversettings, this would be much more complicated then the first method, that's why we would recommend the first method (clantag in servertitle).

Tell us in your post, which method you used for the authentification
Server has to be online

Also we need the following informations from you:

the link to your SL-Serverpage
and the link to your SL-Clanpage

I'd like to advertise my server (which I play on). Now this is the silent 0.5.1 and ET version 2.55+ (works on each ET version!). The server belong to ET funclub (NOT clan) called Polish War Demons - *PWD*. Entry is free for all. Server is placed in France. Most players are Polish, but we like foreign players and know english. If you want to join to funclub, you dont need very much. You must play for a while and set a good example. If you want to get higher level, you should be polite, active every day if possible and invite any new player to the server. Then you will get 1 level and more. You can be in any clan and in the funclub without any trouble.

Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory requires a complicated series of installation steps in order to be compatible with online game play.

"ET_260b_Win32_Full_Install.exe" is a single executable file that will automatically take you through the complete installation process.

This installer package contains all of the installer files required for the installation process. No additional file downloads are required.

In short, the " ET_260b_Win32_Full_Install.exe" program performs the following:

1) Runs the wolfet.exe initial installer.
2) Runs the ET_Patch_2_60.exe installer.
3) Copies the 2.60b version (Win32) of ET.exe and ETDED.exe to the installation.
4) Runs the Punk Buster Setup: ET_PBSetup.exe from etkey.org

The " ET_260b_Win32_Full_Install.exe" installer package contains all of the above files.

Requirements: Any Windows Operating System running on a PC (IBM Based) computer.

Download size is 275.2 MB (281,826,816 bytes).
